With deep expertise in team science and team leader development — and an ability to inspire the best in those around him — Dr. Hurley has a passion for helping leaders craft extraordinary teams.
Jeb’s career journey began in product management on new product teams in Europe and Asia, followed by GM / VP and CEO roles at companies ranging from Fortune 500 to a VC backed startup. Along the way, he found his inner-entrepreneur, co-founding three software start-ups. During his journey, Jeb experienced the uplifting power of being part of extraordinary teams, and too often the pain and suffering that comes with toxic bosses and dysfunctional relationships where trust is low, and people are disengaged.
Those experiences became Jeb’s source of energy and purpose. He did a deep dive into human motivation and team effectiveness, connecting what behavioral science knows to what team leaders do while earning his doctorate. In parallel, Jeb spent nearly five-years walking in the shoes of today’s team leaders. Those experiences and the voices of team leaders and team members from around the world contributed to the inspiration behind Xmetryx.
In 2014 Elena began working on a new approach to understanding customer experiences by measuring and tracking how people feel about an experience with a product or service versus their expectations of those experiences. She validated the idea through existing research, prototyped the concept, and began alpha testing. The substantial evidence of the effectiveness of the approach also brought a change in focus towards impacting lives at work by helping people build healthy, trusting relationships on and across teams. In 2016 she put together a development team and co-founded Xmetryx.
Elena began her career as employee number 16 at Onyx, a software start-up, with responsibilities ranging from technical writing to operations. As the company grew, she held various leadership roles focusing on both customer and technical areas of the business. Ultimately, Elena led the establishment of the Global Services organization, with responsibility for the experience of the company’s +10,000 customers. In addition, she led the design and development of the company’s first cloud-based product. After the sale of Onyx to Canon in 2010, Elena went on to co-found Inspiration Engine, and a people analytics software start-up focused on creating better customer experiences.
As Xmetryx CTO, Elena is responsible for product design, technology, and security, leading the development team, and a hodgepodge of other things (like social media technology strategy, finance, customer support). She brings a blend of product design and software development talent, along with an unrelenting focus on execution excellence, to create an exceptional experience for Xmetryx customers.
